Kids Against Hunger

On April 7, 2010, forty people from the United Church of Faith spent just over 2 hours assembling over 2,000 food packages. Each package contains enriched white rice, dried vegetable protein, dried vegetables and numerous vitamins and minerals. When cooked with water this nutritious, tasty dish will feed 6 people. The packages are sealed in waterproof packaging that will keep for up to 3 years. The supplies for these meals were purchased by donations collected in February. The project created over 13,000 meals for the needy in Haiti
